Tab punch with and without free punching (U-Form)

There is often a need for hanging tabs in industry which are, e.g. used for faster installations. You should know some of the options:

1.) Free-punched tab:

This is one of the most common tabs as it has good punching result due to the previous 2-sided pre-punching.

2.) Tab cut and formed (without pre-punch):

You can skip the pre-punching but there might be a bigger problem with burrs within the tab due to the draw-cut. Furthermore the tab has to be made with a taper due to the required stripping action.

3.) Reinforced tab:

There is the possibility to emboss an additional reinforced bead onto the tab if more stability is required - no matter if it is a pre-punched or cut tab.

4.) Tab with lead-in lip:

Should you need easier assembly of the parts onto the tab, there is the possibility to form a lead-in lip.

5.) Tab with clamping function:

If the inserted parts in the tab should need to be secured, there is a possibility to deform the tab with a taper for a clamping action.
